This year we are very happy to have Peter Fernon, storyteller, poet, musician and puppeteer, present “The Wheel”.

“My brother’s life was full of great promise and great disappointment. He died when he was forty five. It seemed to us that the unique set of circumstances that made his life had nowhere else to go. He just took his leave. But the more I thought about my family history the more I realised that my brother's life was just another turn in a wheel that had been going round for generations.”

Peter Fernon has delighted audiences throughout the ten years of the Words in Winter festival. He has written and performed works such as “Gilgamesh”, “Doctor Wisewould”, “The Spud Diggers” and “The Odyssey”. Peter performs his works using song, instruments, puppetry, verse and the word. A very accomplished artist; he is one of Trentham’s very own treasures.

Make a night of it - gather some friends, meet for drinks, book for dinner at “The Pig & Whistle” before the 8:00pm performance. Book on 5424 1213. Cnr James Lane & Pearsons Rd, Trentham, Victoria
