 Writing in Cafes

Novelists, poets, short story writers, memoirists, children's authors, YA writers, non-fiction writers - calling all writers!

Would you like to be in a writing group or just meet some other people who write or would like to write?

Writing in cafes is a time honoured tradition amongst writers, from T.S. Elliot to J.K. Rowling, and this year Words in Winter is delighted to bring our first Writing in Cafes to town.

The idea is simple - it’s not a lecture or a writing class, but a friendly, supportive space for writers and want-to-be writers to meet, have a coffee and write.

We’ll meet once a week on Fridays from 10.00am - 12.00pm, for twelve sessions from 2nd  June to 18th August at Wild Thyme in Market Street. It won't cost a cent besides a coffee or two. You don’t have to know what you’re doing and you only have to come when you can or want to. Bring your WIP (work in progress), but if you don't have one, come anyway; you might be inspired!

If you love this idea but can’t make it on a Friday morning, let me know at wiw@trentham.org.au or leave a comment here, and if there is enough interest, we might get an evening group together (Writing in Pubs?).

Interested? Just turn up, or register your interest on the events page so we have some idea of how many people to expect!
