Events for Kids
Captain Wombat's Treasure Hunt
for school age students
How well do you know Trentham?
Captain Wombat's Treasure Hunt will have you scratching your head and searching high and low to unravel the clues!
You will need to pick up a map and your envelope containing the clues from Captain Wombat and The Winter Fairy who will be at Trentham Neighbourhood Centre (TNC) at 9.30am on Sunday 28th August.
Then - it's a race! You have to decipher the clues to find the answers to Captain Wombat's questions and get them back to TNC as fast as you can.
So come along, join in and if you would like to, dress up! Come as a pirate, a treasure hunter or any thing else that fits in with Treasure Hunting.
The winner will be announced at The Last Word on Sunday 28th August at 4pm at the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre.
How To Enter
-
Register from 9.30am at TNC. After you have registered, you will be able to collect your clues, your map and your special entrant's badge. Then, listen carefully to the instructions from Captain Wombat so you know what to do.
-
The competition starts at 10am when you can open your envelope containing the clues, and then, off you go! The competition closes at 11.30am when all participants have to be back to TNC.
-
You can enter as an individual or in teams of two or three people. Only one set of answers per team will be accepted.
-
Get your answers back to the TNC as fast as you can - the first team with all the right answers wins! If more than one person or team has all the answers correct and gets them back at the same time, then the winner will be decided by a draw.
